History

The Pacific Steelers Female Hockey Program was founded in 1999 and is a high performance female U-19 team that trains and plays together during the hockey season. The team is comprised of the best female hockey players in British Columbia. Through the generous support of the Richmond Arenas Community Association, the Steelers program has thrived.

And look at our success! The Steelers club team has had a remarkably successful history, placing more players into US Colleges than any other club team in Western Canada. Its graduates have attended such prestigious institutions such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, and their education has led them to successful careers in Business, Academia, and also Humanitarian Endeavours.

The team now competes in the Junior Women’s Hockey League (www.jwhl.org), one of the top female leagues in North America, and competes in select college showcase tournaments to provide the best possible exposure for our players.  Further, we compete at legendary venues such as Harvard University, Northeastern University, and University of Minnesota. Going forward, we expect our Program to continue to provide the best possible life experience for our players.
